Notes | Thai Thai Prospera® Active DMR Basil Type: Improved Thai Basil Key Strengths: High Downy Mildew Resistance: Offers strong protection against Downy Mildew, ensuring healthy growth even in challenging conditions. Authentic Thai Aroma: Delivers the classic, distinct licorice-like fragrance characteristic of Thai basil. Vigorous & Productive: Grows into robust, semi-compact plants with medium-sized green leaves and attractive dark purple stems, providing a good yield. Slow to Bolt: Exhibits a delayed flowering tendency, extending the harvest period for flavorful leaves. Versatile Use: Well-suited for fresh use, bunching, and producing leaf tips for culinary applications. What Makes It Special: Thai Thai Prospera® Active DMR builds upon traditional Thai basil by adding significant resistance to Downy Mildew. This means you can enjoy the unique anise-like flavor and aroma of Thai basil with greater reliability and a longer harvest season, without the worry of this common disease devastating your plants. It also tends to have larger leaves and a fuller plant structure compared to some other Thai basil varieties. https://www.johnnyseeds.com/herbs/basil/asian-basil/thai-thai-prospera-active-dmr-organic-basil-seed-4968G.html |

Note: different from the others, switched nute solution from nitrogen heavy to more p &k. Used bloom feeding schedule at half strength (as opposed to full) to focus more on roots and be more gentle on the surgery just done. In kratky too long. Had root rot. I washed roots, trimmed then back to more white roots, soaked in hydrogen peroxide solution (1tsp/gal of water) for a few min, cleaned jar, added fresh nutes, and trimmed leaves (about as much as roots 1/3) since less roots to support existing plant size. |
