Notes | Bred by Jason Schwarz from Toadstool Gardens, the Orange Ripple pepper results from a blend of the Orange Habanero, Yellow Scotch Bonnet, and Carolina Reaper varieties. Typically ranging between 250,000 to 500,000 Scoville Heat Units, though some specimens exceed this limit, the Orange Ripple is an exquisite pepper. It boasts the distinct tail of the Carolina Reaper without the overwhelming spiciness associated with it. With a heat level slightly above that of Scotch Bonnets and Habaneros, it finds application in a variety of recipes like nachos, hot sauces, and salsas due to its closely aligned flavor profile. |
